Aftercare & Cremation
At Peaceful Paws, we are dedicated to providing compassionate hospice and end-of-life care for your beloved pets, ensuring their comfort and privacy within your own home. Our main focus has always been to support pets throughout their entire end-of-life journey.

Aftercare Services
There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to your pet’s aftercare, including pet cremations. It is a personal choice, and we are committed to helping you make the decision that is most suitable for you, your family, and your beloved pet.
Depending on your aftercare wishes, we can arrange for a considerate and respectful transfer of your pet following the euthanasia appointment. This can be done immediately after the appointment, or we can provide you with ample time to say your final goodbyes in the privacy of your home..
We offer three main aftercare services:
Private Cremation
By opting for private cremation, your pet will be cremated on their own, and you will receive their ashes in an urn or keepsake of your preference.

Standard package includes a wooden urn, ink paw print, and a fur clipping
Communal Cremation
Communal Cremation offers an affordable option to Private Cremation. Your loved one will be respectfully cremated with other loved pets, with no ashes returned.
Independent Burial
Alternatively, you may choose to have your pet buried at your home or a pet cemetery through independent arrangements.
It is important to confirm the regulations and legality surrounding burying your pet at home by consulting your local council.
We provide traditional, flame-based cremation services for your pet in collaboration with our partner, Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory. Families who choose Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory can expect the same high standards of dignity and compassion in their pet's aftercare as provided by Peaceful Paws.
The local crematory will personally call you to confirm your wishes and set up an appointment for you to pick up your loved one's ashes. This usually takes between 1-2 business days.
